...an extraordinary meeting place!

My Dear Customers, It is with a tear in my eye that I write this swan song of The Wine Basket.  The Wine Basket will be closed at the end of the day on October 31, 2009.  As the time and energy needed to deal with the cancer have become overwhelming, and out of pocket expenses for my cancer treatment have become outrageous, I don’t have the time, energy, or money to keep the shop running.  There were several attempts made to sell the shop but in the end, they all fell through. The greatest thing I take away from this experience is the honor to call many of you my friends. Thank you so much for your support, your kindness, all of the fun times and great conversations that we have had in the shop over the past 3 years. I have learned & laughed so much. The memories will be with me always. I want to say a special thank you to the greatest group of volunteers that I could ever have hoped to work with - Pam, Bob, Carol, Chris, Gary, Anne, Justin & Stephanie. I would never have made it this far without all of you. Thank you for everything, my friends. Tricia
